American Center of Philippine Arts (ACPA) - Mission and Vision.

Mission

The American Center of Philippine Arts provides a unique educational and developmental platform for multidisciplinary Philippine arts through innovative, hands-on classes, collaborations, networking opportunities, and showcasing events. We strive to nurture both traditional and progressive Philippine arts to strengthen our community and ethnic identity.

American Center of Philippine Arts is a 501c3 federal exempt nonprofit organization.

Vision

We aim to be an epicenter of Philippine arts both domestically and abroad, serving as a cultural liaison between artist and audience.

Location

ACPA is located at the Oakland Asian Cultural Center (OACC) at 388 Ninth Street between Franklin and Webster Street on the second floor of the Pacific Renaissance Plaza in Oakland's Chinatown.

Parking

Is available underground in the Pacific Renaissance Plaza. We do not validate for parking. The parking fee is $2 per hour with a maximum daily rate of $24 with no special weekend rates. In the Plaza, take the elevator to the 2nd floor. OACC is the first suite on the left.

Franklin 88 Parking Garage on Franklin Street between 9th and 10th Street across the street from Pacific Renaissance Plaza is a flat fee all day on the weekends.

A garage on the corner of Webster and 11th Street has a flat fee all day ($5-$8) depending on when you arrive.

Metered street parking around the Plaza is $2 hour (8am-6pm) and FREE on Sundays.

Loading Dock is at the Plaza is on Franklin Street, next to the garage entrance. Contact OACC, unload and take the freight elevator to the second floor.

Directions

From San Francisco, from the Bay Bridge, continue to Hwy 980 towards Downtown Oakland and exit on 11th/12th Streets. Turn left onto 11th Street and then right onto Webster Street. Turn right into the garage (with mint green trim).

From East Bay, from Hwy 580 continue to Hwy 980 towards Downtown Oakland then continue as above.

From South Bay, take Hwy 880 north and exit on Broadway. Turn right onto Broadway. Turn right onto 9th Street. Turn left on Franklin and then right into the garage (With mint green trim).

From BART, the closest BART station is 12th Street Station at Broadway in Oakland. Walk south on Broadway to 11th Street and turn left. Continue on 11th Street and turn right on Franklin to enter the Pacific Renaissance Plaza.

From the Lake Merritt BART Station. Exit at the 9th Street exit and walk west on 9th 5 blocks to the Pacific Renaissance Plaza.
